Interested in joining the Lab?

We are always excited to welcome new folks to the HAP Lab and we are always interested in talking with potential students, volunteers and researchers! If you think you’d be a good fit for the Lab, please check out the resources below:

If you are a prospective Master’s or Doctoral student, please include the following information in your initial email:

  • Your curriculum vitae (CV). (Here are tips for writing a good one)

  • An unofficial copy of your academic transcript(s)

  • A research statement/proposal (here are some tips for making a good one)

  • A statement of how your experience, research interests, and goals align with the Lab. Our work is focused on the intersection of health, planning, ageing, and accessibility. Your proposed research should be related to at least one of the following:

    • Healthy cities

    • Dementia-inclusive planning

    • Aging in the built environment, policy and/or housing

    • Accessibility and disability

    • Wayfinding

    • Care

If you are interested in volunteering with the HAP Lab, please send your CV and statement of how your experiences align with those of the Lab.
