Research Assistant

Raphaella is a recent graduate of the Master of Planning (MPL) in Urban Development Program at Toronto Metropolitan University, School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP). Raphella is working on Meet Us at the Steps—a study seeking to platform the experiences of older 2SLGBTQ+ adults in Toronto to better understand planning applications to improve conditions for aging in place. Raphaella is an advocate for people-focused, creative city planning. She combines her background in the arts with her passion for better city planning, playful urban spaces, and public art. Raphaella advocates for accessible public amenities as co-founder of Public Washrooms TO. Additionally, Raphaella is an active volunteer with the Toronto Public Space Committee.
